Refer friends. Earn as they spend.
Share your link. As each friend puts spending through their SmashX card, four rewards unlock one after another — up to 4,500 SmashX Points, $45, per friend. No limit on how many you invite.
Four rungs per friend
Every friend you bring in climbs the same ladder. Each rung unlocks the moment their card spending passes it, and pays straight into your rewards balance.
-
First purchase
500 SmashX
$5.00
Any amount, anywhere a major card network is accepted. Signing up alone does not pay — the card has to be used.
-
$500 spent
500 SmashX
$5.00
Counted from their first day, across every purchase they make.
-
$1,500 spent
1,000 SmashX
$10.00
The rung most active users reach in their first month.
-
$5,000 spent
2,500 SmashX
$25.00
The last rung. Together the four are worth 4,500 SmashX — $45 — per friend.
45 days to climb
The clock starts when your friend passes their ID check. Spending after day 45 does not count towards a rung they have not reached yet.
14 days before you can claim
Each reward is held for 14 days after it unlocks, so refunds and disputes settle before the money is yours to move.
No limit on friends
The $45 cap is per friend, not per account. Ten friends who each go the distance is 45,000 SmashX — $450.
Your friend earns too
They get 500 SmashX of their own on their first purchase, so the link is worth using rather than just worth sending.
Watch every friend climb
The Rewards screen lists everyone you have invited, how far along the ladder they are, and what each has earned you. Rungs fill in on their own as purchases settle — there is nothing to submit and nothing to chase.

A model, not a forecast — it assumes every friend spends the same amount inside their window. 100 SmashX Points claims as $1.00 USDC.
What SmashX Points actually is
A rewards unit that only exists inside SmashPay, with a fixed published rate: 100 SmashX Points claims as $1.00 USDC. It is not bought, not traded, and its rate does not move. Its whole job is to carry a reward from your friend's card to your balance.
-
Earn
A friend passes a rung on the ladder. Tokens appear in your rewards balance — the only way they are ever created.
-
Hold
They sit for 14 days at a fixed value while refunds and disputes settle. Nothing accrues and nothing erodes.
-
Claim
One tap converts the balance to USDC in your account — the only way out, and the end of the token's life.
100 SmashX = $1.00
The rate is published and does not float. There is no price to follow and nothing to speculate on — 100 token does not grow towards a dollar, it is a dollar.
You cannot buy in
Tokens come into existence one way: a friend of yours passing a rung on the ladder. No money goes in at the front.
It stays in the app
Tokens do not move between users and cannot leave SmashPay. There is nowhere to trade them and no market to set a second price.
Interest starts after you claim
An unclaimed balance earns nothing. Claim it to USDC and it can then earn up to 6.5% APY by plan, like the rest of your balance.
Why it is built this way: a rewards balance that had a floating price, a resale market, or interest running on it would stop being a rewards balance. Keeping those four lines in place is what lets the reward be simple.
How to invite a friend and claim your rewards
Share your link, watch your friends move up the ladder, and take the money out once the hold clears.
-
1
Open Earn and copy your link
Tap Earn on the home screen. Your link, your code and a QR code are all there — send whichever suits how you are sharing it.
-
2
They join and pass their ID check
Your friend has to sign up through your link — that is what ties them to you. Their 45-day window opens the day their ID check clears.
-
3
Their first purchase pays 500 SmashX
Rung one, as soon as that payment settles. They get 500 of their own at the same moment.
-
4
Rungs unlock as they spend
$500, $1,500 and $5,000 of cumulative spending release the next three. The Rewards screen fills in on its own.
-
5
Each reward holds for 14 days
A short hold after each rung unlocks, so a refund can be taken back out before the money becomes yours.
-
6
Tap Claim and it is yours
Convert your SmashX Points to real money in one tap. It lands in your SmashPay balance as USDC — spend it on the card, send it, or convert it to your local currency.
Rewards questions.
How much can one friend earn me?
Up to 4,500 SmashX Points — $45.00 — across the four rungs: 500 on their first purchase, 500 more at $500 of spending, 1,000 at $1,500 and 2,500 at $5,000. That is the cap per friend, and there is no cap on how many friends you invite.
What does my friend get for using my link?
500 SmashX Points of their own — $5.00 — on their first purchase, at the same moment your first rung pays. The link is worth using, not just worth sending.
Is there a limit on how many friends I can invite?
No. The 4,500 token cap is per friend, not per account, so ten friends who each go the whole way is 45,000 SmashX — $450 — and there is nothing stopping the eleventh.
Do I earn from my friends' friends?
No. Rewards come from the people you invited yourself. If your friend invites someone, that person climbs your friend's ladder and pays your friend — not you.
What happens after the 45 days?
Rungs your friend has already passed are yours and stay yours. Rungs they have not reached close. The window starts the day their ID check clears, not the day they sign up.
Why is there a 14-day hold?
So a refund or a dispute can settle before the reward becomes spendable. If your friend returns a purchase, the spending comes back off their total and any reward it released is adjusted with it.
What if a purchase is refunded after I have claimed?
The refunded amount comes off your friend's spending total, and any rung it had released is taken back. That comes out of your rewards balance — and if you have already claimed, the balance can go below zero, with later rewards clearing it before anything new becomes claimable. The 14-day hold exists so this rarely happens.
What if my friend already has an account?
The referral has to be attached at sign-up, so an existing account cannot be linked to your invitation afterwards. Send the link before they open an account.
What is a SmashX Points worth?
100 SmashX Points converts to $1.00 USDC. That is the rate every figure on this page is built from — 500 token is $5.00 and the full ladder, 4,500 token, is $45.00.
Is SmashX Points a cryptocurrency?
No. It is a rewards balance inside SmashPay — a way of counting what you have earned, at a rate that does not move. It has no price to follow and nowhere to be traded. The USDC it claims into is the stablecoin; the token itself is closer to a points balance than to anything on an exchange.
Can I buy SmashX Points?
There is no way to buy in. Tokens come into existence one way only — a friend of yours reaching a rung. Everything in your rewards balance was earned by somebody using the product.
Can I send my tokens to someone else, or sell them?
No. Tokens do not move between accounts and cannot leave SmashPay. The single exit is Claim, into your own USDC balance — and once you have claimed, that USDC moves like any other money in your account.
Does my unclaimed balance earn interest?
It does not. Tokens sitting in your rewards balance hold their value and nothing more. Claim them to USDC and they can then earn up to 6.5% APY by plan, alongside the rest of your balance, so there is no reason to leave a claimable balance sitting.
Do I earn on my own spending too?
Your own SmashX card earns cash back straight into your wallet on eligible spend, with nothing to claim. That is separate from this — referral rewards are what your friends' spending pays you.
