Where SmashPay works
Two different things, and the difference matters. There are 5 countries we can send money to, and 32 where you can open an account and fund it. 3 are both.
Check a country
Pick a country to see whether you can open an account there, send money there, or both, and how the money arrives.
Where you can send money to
5 corridors, on every tier. Price is set by how much you send, not by where it goes: the fee and the exchange markup together come to 3.49% all-in on the smallest transfers, down to 1.19% on the largest, and lower again to Mexico. Paid tiers take a discount off whatever that comes to.
| Country | Local rail | Currency | Arrives |
|---|---|---|---|
| Philippines also pay-in | InstaPay, GCash, PESONet | PHP | Within minutes |
| Mexico also pay-in | SPEI | MXN | Within minutes |
| Vietnam also pay-in | NAPAS 247 | VND | Within minutes |
| Indonesia | BI-FAST | IDR | Within minutes |
| Thailand | PromptPay | THB | Within minutes |
Mexico is the one corridor priced below the standard schedule. Every other corridor uses it, and the exact cost of your transfer is always shown before you confirm it.
Where you can open an account
32 markets. You can open an account and fund it from any of these. Sending money to a country is the list above.
A liveness check means verifying your identity needs a short selfie video as well as an ID document. It applies in 21 of these markets, and to the beneficial owners of a business account as well as to individuals.
